There were remarkable scenes - prior to the opening day sales of their preview units held for YTL valued buyers at the Grove Sales Office on Friday. Teeming crowds were seen lining up as early as Wednesday, setting up makeshift tents, overnighting outside the sales office, all wanting to be first in line to own a slice of their home ownership dream of the Grove.
By Friday afternoon, all 100% of the preview units were snapped up. It was the exact same scenario when the final batch of Grove semi-detached units were snapped up by 11am on the second day when it was released for sale.
The successful sales of Grove come fresh just after another extraordinary sell out of The Capers at Sentul East, only just months ago.
Commenting on the long queue, Tan Sri (Dr) Francis Yeoh said, “I thank our Lord Jesus for blessing us with this very positive response. This is because about 25 years ago, I started to sell homes to eager buyers and I instilled a culture of zero corruption in our staff and Directors that YTL does not take under table money from buyers.
"In the sales brochures we vigorously highlighted this clause. Under table money was a common practice then."

YTL Land & Development Bhd is launching phase three of its Lake Fields project in Sungei Besi soon and expects take-up to be overwhelming. Called Grove, it comprises 102 units of three-storey semi-detached homes worth about RM220 million, or about RM2 million each.

A new benchmark was set for Sungei Besi properties today, as Grove – the latest offering by YTL Land & Development in Lake Fields exceeded expectations when it sold out all its units during the 2nd day of debut ahead of launch. With a starting price of RM1.8 million, Grove has not only set a new price standard for Sungei Besi homes but also demonstrated the area's potential as KL's next property hotspot.
The first day of the preview held for YTL valued buyers at Grove Sales Office saw teeming crowds rushing to stake a claim in the project from as early as Wednesday, 22nd June, queuing overnight to secure their units. All preview units were snapped up by noon of the 1st day of its debut, and the balance semi-detached units – lake-facing homes with stunning vistas of the lake were snapped up by 11am on the 2nd day when it was released for sale.
Commenting on the staggering results, Dato' Yeoh Seok Kian, Executive Director, YTL Land & Development Berhad said, "We knew the interest in Grove was high as more than 1,500 people signed up their interest through an earlier registration exercise. But we certainly didn't expect a sell-out success in just 2 days of its public debut."
